Our Story
The name CAFE carries a very special meaning for me. While it stands for Coaching, Advising, Facilitating Experts, it also holds a deeper, more personal story. In Spanish, “café” means coffee—and coffee has always been at the heart of my bond with my dad.
Growing up, my dad and I would joke that the only addiction we shared was coffee. Some of our most meaningful father-daughter conversations and even our little “business meetings” happened over a cup of coffee. No matter where we traveled as a family, our first stop was always the same: finding a place to get coffee together. Those small rituals became some of my most treasured memories.
The 507 in our name represents the country code for Panama—a country that means the world to us. As an immigrant family, Panama welcomed us with open arms and quickly became home. My dad loved it so much that he never wanted to leave for the United States or even return to China. To honor my dad, my family, and the place that shaped so much of who we are, I chose to weave Panama into the very heart of this company.
